Hiatti Privacy Policy
About this policy
Last updated: 10/28/2026
This policy explains what information Hiatti collects when you use the Hiatti app and phone service, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. “Hiatti,” “we,” and “us” mean Hiatti LLC, which publishes the Hiatti app, and Hiatti Carrier Services LLC, which provides the phone service.
In short:
- We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and there are no ads in the app.
- We don’t track your device’s location. 911 uses the address you give us.
- Federal law protects your call records, and we give your text records the same protection.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time.
If you bought Hiatti through a marketplace or other partner, that partner’s privacy policy covers the information you gave the partner. This policy covers the information Hiatti receives and collects.
Information we collect
We collect what we need to run your phone number: your account details, the calls and texts that pass through it, and basic information about your device. We don’t collect your device’s precise location.
What you give us
- Account details. Your name, email address, address, a contact phone number, username and password, business name if you provide one, and your settings.
- 911 address. The address you register for emergency calls.
- Caller ID name. The name shown on your outgoing calls, if you choose to set one.
- Contacts. Contacts you save in the app. If you allow access to your device’s contacts, the app uses them to show names and let you call or text people [and doesn’t upload them to our servers].
- Greetings and call settings. Voicemail greetings you record, upload, or create, plus schedules, forwarding choices, and blocked numbers.
- Feedback and support. Call ratings, spam reports, and your emails, chats, or calls with our support team [which may be recorded for quality and training].
- Purchases. If you buy an upgrade, [Apple, Google, or our payment processor] handles your payment details. We receive confirmation of the purchase, not your card number.
What’s created when you use Hiatti
- Call and text records. For each call and text: the numbers involved, date, time, duration, and whether it connected or was delivered.
- Messages and voicemails. The texts, pictures, voicemails, and voicemail transcripts you send and receive, stored so we can deliver them and show them in the app.
- AI feature content. What you ask the in-app assistant, and the content any AI feature you turn on works with (see AI features).
- Device and app information. Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, push notification token, crash reports, and diagnostic logs. When you rate a call, we also capture device and connection details to diagnose call quality.
What we get from others
- The marketplace or partner you bought from, which sends what we need to set up your service, such as your name, email address, business name, and the number you chose.
- Other phone networks, when someone calls or texts you: their number, caller ID name, what they send, and call authentication details.
- Spam and fraud services, which help us label likely spam and stop illegal robocalls.
How we use information
We use your information to run your service, keep it safe, and meet our legal duties as a phone company. We don’t use it for advertising.
- Run your service. Connect calls, deliver texts and voicemails, keep your number active, apply your settings, and show your history in the app.
- Verify accounts and stop abuse. Confirm new accounts, detect fraud and spam, and keep illegal robocalls off our network, as federal rules require of phone providers.
- Sign and label calls. Authenticate your outgoing calls with STIR/SHAKEN and label likely spam on incoming calls.
- Connect 911 calls. Route emergency calls and give responders your 911 address.
- Support you. Answer questions, troubleshoot call quality, and fix problems you report.
- Contact you. Send verification codes, service notices, and account alerts. [With your consent, we also send product news, which you can stop at any time.]
- Bill for your service. Process upgrades and handle billing with the marketplace you bought from.
- Improve Hiatti. Find and fix bugs and learn which features work, using diagnostic and usage data.
- Meet legal duties. Follow FCC rules, tax and reporting obligations, and valid legal process, and protect the rights and safety of our customers and others.
We use the content of your texts and voicemails only to deliver them, to run features you turn on, to protect you and our network from fraud and spam, when you ask us to, and when the law requires.
How we share information
We share information only to run your service, keep it safe, or meet legal duties. We don’t sell or rent it, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
- Phone networks and carrier partners that connect your calls and texts, along with the call authentication details federal rules require. If you set a caller ID name, it goes to caller ID databases so other carriers can show it. If you move your number to another provider, we give that provider what it needs to complete the transfer.
- Service providers that host our systems, send push notifications, process payments, report crashes, and help us support you. They may use your information only to provide services to us, and they must protect it at least as well as this policy does.
- Hiatti companies and affiliates, which must follow this policy.
- The marketplace or partner you bought from, which receives what it needs to manage your purchase, such as your account status [and billing details].
- Emergency services, when you call 911 (see 911 and location).
- Robocall investigators. When the FCC, law enforcement, or the FCC-designated industry traceback group traces a suspected illegal robocall, we must identify where it came from. If it came from your number, that can include identifying you.
- Law enforcement and courts, when the law requires it, such as for a valid subpoena, court order, or warrant, or when we believe in good faith that an emergency involving danger of death or serious physical injury requires it. Federal law also requires phone providers to be able to assist with court-authorized surveillance.
- Anyone you direct us to share with.
We don’t share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
The reports we file with the FCC count subscribers by area and contain no names, numbers, or usage.
Your phone records (CPNI)
You have a right, and we have a duty, under federal law to protect the confidentiality of your Customer Proprietary Network Information, or CPNI (47 U.S.C. § 222 and 47 C.F.R. §§ 64.2001 to 64.2011).
CPNI is information about how you use the phone service: the numbers you call and that call you, when and for how long, the features you have, and related billing details. We give your text message records the same protection.
- How we use it. To provide and bill for your service, protect you and other carriers from fraud and abuse, and respond to emergencies, as federal law permits.
- Marketing. We may tell you about features and upgrades for the service you already have. We don’t use your CPNI to market anything else, and we don’t share it with anyone for marketing, without your approval. Saying no won’t affect your service.
- Identity checks. If you contact us about call or text details, we first verify you [with a one-time code sent to your Hiatti number]. Without that check, we can only send the details to your email or mailing address on file or call you back at your Hiatti number.
- Account change alerts. We notify you right away when your password, account email, or address on file changes. The alert goes to your existing contact details, never the new ones.
- Your copy. You can ask us in writing to send your CPNI to you or to anyone you name.
- Breaches. If someone gets unauthorized access to your CPNI, we notify law enforcement and you as federal rules require.
911 and location
We don’t track your device’s location. Your 911 address is the address you enter in the app, and keeping it current in [SETTINGS PATH: 911 address] is up to you.
When you dial 911 in the app, the call goes to an emergency dispatch center that confirms your location and connects you to your local 911 center. If you can’t speak, the dispatcher uses your registered 911 address. We give emergency services your Hiatti number and 911 address [and name] for this purpose only. See [911 DISCLOSURE LINK] for how 911 works with Hiatti.
We use location information from your 911 calls only to respond to the emergency, and we won’t use or share it for anything else without your express prior authorization (47 U.S.C. § 222(f)).
Security
We protect your information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption of messages between the app and our servers, limits on which employees can see account data, and identity checks before we discuss account details.
Texts aren’t end-to-end encrypted. Once a text leaves our network, carriers along its path handle it as they would any text message.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires. Keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights:
- Know and access what personal information we have, where it came from, why we use it, and who receives it, and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale of your information, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We don’t do any of these.
- Limit use of sensitive information. We use sensitive personal information, such as your account login and the content of your texts, only for purposes the law permits without this right (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, § 7027(m)), so there’s nothing to limit.
- No retaliation for using any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email [email protected] or call 5093813920. We verify your identity by matching details on your account. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need up to 45 more. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your signed permission.
Opt-out signals and Do Not Track. We don’t sell or share personal information, so there’s nothing to opt out of. If your browser or device sends an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. Hiatti doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, so Do Not Track signals don’t change how it works.
Children
Hiatti is for adults. You must be [18] or older to use it, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post updates here and change the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we’ll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
